Our team does not only consist of professional and experienced dentists; we have also our full-time in-house dental technicians who works in a great sync with our dentists and produces excellent lab-works after we complete your chairside procedures. Whether your front teeth are crooked, discoloured, decayed, have a rough surface or a gap in-between, dental porcelain veneers in Turkey are the treatment of choice for you.
We complete porcelain veneers in only 24 hours, thanks to Tizian Cut 5 3D Dental Design and Milling Device which makes us a completely independent clinic from external labs.
A dental porcelain veneer is an artificial tooth that covers the front surface of a tooth like a mask. For those who are wondering what they are made of, the main material is the glass particles mixed with various substances such as lithium disilicate. In contrast to dental crowns, porcelain laminate veneers require minimum amount of tooth surface reduction. Therefore, dentists consider porcelain veneers as one of the least invasive aesthetic dental procedures. Moreover, unlike the traditional porcelain fused to metal (PFM) crowns, porcelain veneers do not have a black metal base. This makes them look much more natural and aesthetic.
We produce porcelain veneers in both digital (Cad Cam method) and non-digital (Press method) environment. Whatever method we use to prepare your porcelain veneers, we will perform a minimal invasive tooth preparation prior to the lab work.
In Esdent Dental Centre Turkey, we complete dental veneers in 3 appointments within 24 hours.
1- Tooth Preparation Stage: Our dentists perform a minimal tooth preparation on the tooth surface for porcelain veneers. We use local anaesthetic when necessary. Dental impression taking follows this step.
2- Mock-Up Stage: We will cement the plastic prototypes of your porcelain veneers to your teeth and evaluate their look with you. We will make the adjustments at this stage as you desire.
3- Permanent Cementation Stage: After the mock-up stage, our lab will prepare the actual porcelain veneers. Once they are ready, our dentists will cement them to the front surface of your teeth permanently.
In this Stage, our dentists will prepare your tooth surface for the veneers. A crown of tooth has three parts; enamel, dentin and pulp. Enamel is the outmost layer of a tooth crown. For all-ceramic veneers, it is essential to keep the preparation within the borders of enamel.
Porcelain veneers preparation can be done with or without local anaesthesia. Although patients usually ask for local anaesthesia, we have experienced that it is unnecessary in most of the cases.
Once we are ready to begin the procedure, our dentists start with opening two 0.5mm depth guide grooves on your teeth followed by marking these grooves with a lead pencil to prevent over reduction on tooth surface. And then the main tooth reduction stage starts. In this stage, our dentists will reduce the font surface of your teeth until these two guide grooves marge smoothly. This method allows us to keep the porcelain veneer preparation borders within the enamel layer. After that, we perform a smooth reduction of the other front surfaces of your teeth. A single porcelain veneer preparation takes approximately 10 minutes.
A dental veneer preparation for 6 of your front teeth takes approximately 90 minutes including the dental impression.
Veneer preparations that extend to dentin layer of the tooth are more prone to de-bonding. Moreover, too thick or too thin veneers has a higher risk of fracture. Therefore, veneers should be prepared by expert dentists and technicians with the appropriate dimensions. This is important especially for patients who are travelling to Turkey from other countries.
Once our dentists prepare your tooth surface for porcelain veneers, we transfer your dental impression to our in-house dental laboratory. Then, our expert dental technicians will start designing your new teeth on digital environment. You are more than welcome to give your opinions about the real-time design of your new teeth on the screen.
Once the procedure is complete, we will produce a prototype of the end product from a plastic block (PMMA Blocks) in order to demonstrate how the end product dental veneers will look. At this stage, we will cement your veneer prototypes with a temporary material and leave you alone with your reflection on a mirror for a while. We can perform any adjustments on this plastic prototype to achieve the perfect look of your porcelain veneers. After that, we transfer the adjustments on your digital design on our 3D software and produce the real porcelain veneers from E.max blocks, followed by permanent cementation to your teeth.
It is almost similar process with the Cad Cam technique except that every stage of this procedure is done manually. Once our dentists complete your tooth preparation, they transfer y to our in-house dental laboratory. Instead of working on a digital model, our technicians prepare a wax-up on an actual model of your teeth for mock-up stage. Once your wax-up is ready, we transfer it to your mouth with temporary restoration materials to evaluate the design. This Mock-up stage is followed by the production of the actual porcelain veneers in a press furnace.
According to the NHS, porcelain veneers are considered as cosmetic procedures. They are in Band 3 treatment category, which costs £269.30 in 2019. Patients can get veneers by NHS only when it is found clinically necessary. Therefore, it is very rare to get veneers by NHS prices. Even if you are already receiving treatment under NHS scheme, you can not get veneers for aesthetic reasons.
When it comes to the private clinics in the UK, veneers can get a bit expensive to afford. Price of a single porcelain veneer starts from £500 and may go up to £1000 or more.
Let's assume that you are having 8 veneers to your top jaw to achieve a better smile. This procedure could cost approximately £5500 in the UK, which is a bit expensive for most of the patients.
In the meanwhile, dental veneers costs in Turkey starts from £250 and go up to £500 per tooth. Therefore, the aforementioned treatment of 8 veneers could cost approximately £2000 in Turkey.
